FULL CIRCLE – 10 Days Circumnavigating Killarney Provincial Park
ABOUT THE FILM
Journey deep into the breathtaking lakes and backcountry of the La Cloche Mountains, perched along the north shore of Georgian Bay. With its clear blue lakes, striking white quartzite and pink granite hills, Killarney Provincial Park offers some of Ontario’s most unforgettable canoeing and hiking adventures.
Filmmakers Daryl Phillips and Scott Jordan invite you on an ambitious 10-day canoe expedition around the perimeter of the Park. Paddling over 100 km and portaging 20, their journey celebrates 30 years of exploring the Killarney backcountry—recalling their first trip together alongside many cherished family memories since.
Their 50-minute HD film captures the spirit of backcountry travel—immersing viewers in the rugged beauty of land, sky, and water. Stunning visuals of windswept trees, glittering white quartzite rock faces, and undulating reflections on water are paired with an original musical score composed by Scott and Mack Phillips, blending diverse styles into a unified soundscape.
More than just a visual journey, the film reflects on the deeper rhythms of wilderness life—living by the sun, traveling by canoe, embracing ritual, deepening personal connections, and finding resonance with the natural world.
Special guest Kevin Callan, a.k.a. “The Happy Camper,” will host the event, share personal tales from the park, and lead a post-film Q&A with the filmmakers.
