As the sun sets and the cool night air creeps in, the camp fire is first on our priority list.  It immediately becomes the social ‘hot spot’ where everyone gathers to keep warm, cook food and wind down from the activities of the day.  Around the fire is where stories are told, dreams are shared and relationships are deepened.  When the conversation subsides, watching the dancing flames and glowing embers helps quiet the mind.  Fires are something I could study and photograph for hours on end.  Each fire is different in shape, size, colour, mood and continues to change as the wood slowly disappears.  I hope these images might bring back to mind, fond memories of huddling around the campfire.
