This short film is all about time spent with family in a beautiful setting-Algonquin Provincial Park. It was my son’s turn to go with just me. We had each other’s complete and undivided attention for the whole weekend. Canoe trips can be such wonderful opportunities for building relationships-plenty of shared activities, no external distractions (work, phones, TV, etc…).

This particular September weekend was exceptional with regards to the weather-warm days and cool nights, lots of sun but not too hot, but still warm enough to play in the water. I have camped on Rose Island (Rock Lake) before, but never at this beautiful beach site. The other predominant locations featured in the film are the rock face to the north-west of Rose Island and the river flowing from Pen Lake into Rock Lake. Enjoy the beautiful landscape. We are blessed to live so close to these opportunities. Just a short early morning drive and we arrived in time for breakfast in the morning mist!
